Dr. Sabya Mishra, P.E., is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering
at the University of Memphis. After completing his doctoral degree at Wayne State
University in the Civil and Environmental Engineering, he worked as a Research Assistant
Professor at the National Center for Smart Growth Research and Education, University
of Maryland College Park for three years. He is involved with a number of national
and state transportation projects from Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Department
of Transportation, Maryland State Highway Administration, Maryland Department of Transportation,
and Michigan Department of Transportation. His areas of expertise include Travel Demand
Modeling, Transportation Planning and Policy, Econometric Modeling, Transportation
Economics and Finance. Dr. Mishra is a member of Transportation Economics Committee
(ABE20) of the Transportation Research Board. He is in the reviewer panel of Transportation
Research Part- A: Policy and Practice, American Society of Civil Engineers, Transportation
Research Board, Computers Environment and Urban Systems-Elsevier, Research in Transportation
Economics-Elsevier, Journal of Urban Management, and Urban Studies Research.
