Dr. Walls began teaching at The University of Memphis in the fall of 1977 with a Master of Science in Education degree.  After serving as an instructor for three years, he was appointed Direction of Campus Recreation in 1980.  After completing his Doctorate in Education degree in 1991, Dr. Walls was promoted to Assistant Professor and subsequently returned to academia. Dr. Walls has served the Department of Health and Sport Sciences as unit coordinator for Sport and Leisure Management and is currently serving as Coordinator of Undergraduate Studies and Coordinator of Internships.
