Hawaii 1993

In 1993, Hawaii University invited the seismic network group at the Center for Earthquake Research and Information (CERI), University of Memphis to jointly monitor the earthquake activity in the geothermal area at the East Rift Zone of Hawaii Island. CERI was sub-contracted from the Hawaii University and provided 74 short period, high- and low- gain PANDA (Portable Array for Data Acquisition) instruments between January 28 and April 9, 1993.

Led by Professor Jer-Ming Chiu, this project was supported partly by The CERI and the Hawaii University.

The network code was "XC" assigned by the Federation of Digital Seismographic Network (FDSN).
