Friends of Chucalissa present $20,000 check.The Friends of Chucalissa are the primary support organization for the Chucalissa Museum and Archaeological Site. The Friends of Chucalissa have demonstrated in a very real way their fondness for the Museum through their continued support. With their help the Museum has been able to expand its programs and provide an improved interpretive experience for its diverse visitors.

It is through the financial support of the Friends of Chucalissa that we are able to offer the highest quality of interpretation and support. If you enjoyed your visit to Chucalissa website, please consider joining the Friends of Chucalissa and help to sustain the quality services that the Museum provides.

Friends' $20,000 Gift Will Aid Chucalissa's Outreach and Education

Friends of Chucalissa present $20,000 check.The funds will be used to support local and regional marketing efforts for the museum and to support Chucalissa's signature education and public events programs. The gift will enhance program content and public outreach and promotion for Native American Heritage Days, the Spring Powwow, and summer education programs.

Located on an actual archaeological site of a pre-Columbian Native American community, Chucalissa is home to the C.H. Nash Archaeological Museum and its associated collections and research facilities. It is a unit of the University of Memphis' Department of Anthropology.
