A.        General Education

Students must complete 35-41 credit-hours of general education requirements.  A wealth of general education courses is offered every semester at The University of Memphis.

NOTE:    Students with majors in University College are exempt from the six-credit-hour “American Heritage” general education requirements if they completed one year of American History in high school.

NOTE:    For the Humanities requirement, HIST 1120 is highly recommended.

NOTE:    For the Social and Behavioral Sciences requirement, ECON 2110 and 2120 fulfill this requirement.

The CIUM  presented a successful CHINESE SUMMER CAMP IN MEMPHIS recently in collaboration with Hutchison School. The camp served 75 students from across the mid-south region. The CIUM will host this Chinese immersion camp every summer.

The CIUM is pleased to sponsor a "CHINESE BRIDGE" SUMMER CAMP in 2009 from July 14th to August 1st. Thirty-five high school students will participate in this wonderful experience.
