Changing lives through music.
It's almost impossible to think of a world without music, yet music instruction is rapidly disappearing from our public school systems. What the Community Music School at the UofM has done since 1971 is teach children (and adults) how to become gifted musicians and broaden their understanding of music, regardless of economic backgrounds. Our current enrollment is right around 1,000 students, with ability levels ranging from beginner to virtuoso. Our faculty members are among the most dedicated and accomplished music professionals in the Mid-South — what a gift it is to be able to learn from them.
"There is a place for you at the Community Music School. We hope to hear from you soon!"
- Samuel Sidhom, Director
