HOW TO REGISTER
Three ways to register:

TUITION ASSISTANCE & DISCOUNTS
Tuition Assistance: CMS has a limited number of financial aid awards available to assist families in
need. Financial aid awards are partial (10-30% off of tuition) and eligibility is
determined by gross household income and number of household members. Financial aid
awards are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis and are funded as long
as there are available resources. For more information, please call the CMS office
at 901.678.4244.
Camp/Institute Early Bird Discount: Deduct $25 if paid in full by May 1, 2013
Senior Citizens (60+) Discount: 10%
U of M Employee/Dependent Discount: 5%
Senior discount, U of M discount and financial aid awards apply to tuition only and
are limited to one discount per student. Other fees such as: housing, meals, registration
fee, parking permit and CMS t-shirt must be paid in full.
ATTENDANCE/MAKE-UP POLICY Students are expected to be present at each class, lesson and/or camp. Lessons will
not be made up if cancelled by a student nor will there be an adjustment made to tuition.
Lessons will be made up if the teacher cancels a lesson.
WITHDRAWALS Tuition will be refunded in full only if illness or other conditions prevent the teacher
from teaching, or if the University, for any reason, rejects a student's enrollment.
If a student withdraws prior to the beginning of summer session I, summer session
II or any of the camp dates below, a refund of tuition, less $30, will be made.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing to cms@memphis.edu. Registration
fees are non-refundable. No refunds, full or partial, will be made after the official
start of the summer session I, summer session II or past the above camp dates.
RETURN CHECK SERVICE CHARGE Return Check Service Charge $30: Applies to each check/draft or credit card returned
unpaid by your financial institution. This fee will also be assessed if a keying error
on your part results in your financial institution's failure to honor the draft.
PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE Students are occasionally photographed or video recorded during CMS activities and
these photos or videos may be used to advertise or promote the CMS program. By enrolling
in the CMS program, you agree to this policy. However, if you do not want your child's
photographs or videos to be used for CMS publications, please submit a written notice
of this upon registration.
CAMP/INSTITUTE REGISTRATION FEE In order to guarantee camp placement, a non-refundable registration fee must be received
at the time of registration.
BUILDING USE All CMS students must be taught at the University or an approved satellite location.
Due to insurance purposes, teachers may not teach CMS students in their homes.
PARKING All vehicles parked in General Parking on the U of M Campus before 7:00 p.m. must
display a parking hangtag. Hangtags are available for $2 per day at the Parking Office,
505 Zach Curlin St. Parking is also available in the Deloach parking garage (behind
CCFA building) for $2/hr. Parking decals are not required at Park Avenue Campus Building
2, Lane Music, Memphis Music and GPAC. If you have any questions about parking, please call the CMS office at 901-678-4244
