You are invited to attend the University of Memphis Suzuki Institute, one of the first
established Suzuki institutes in the nation. All classes are conducted in an atmosphere
that emphasizes the principles of Dr. Suzuki. Children attend daily semi-private
lessons (during which each student receives focused attention from an expert teacher),
group lessons, ensemble classes, performances, and related musical enrichment classes.
Parents are able to see Suzuki teaching in action through observation of their children's
lessons and classes, experience the Suzuki philosophy at work, and gain reinforcement
from other parents. Teachers have the opportunity to take SAA (Suzuki Association
of the Americas) approved teacher training courses, observe students studying with
expert guest clinicians, and gain insights into their own teaching.
Registration is limited and is offered on a "first-come, first-served" basis. Early
registration is encouraged to guarantee acceptance.
