Communication Scholarships

The following scholarships are available for Communication majors:

Richard R. Ranta/WREG-TV Scholarship

Eligibility:

-Full-time student majoring in communication

-Incoming undergraduate student or currently enrolled undergrad/graduate student

-Incoming students: 3.0 cumulative high school or prior college GPA

-Continuing undergraduate students: minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

-Continuing graduate students: minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5

George Klein Endowed Scholarship

Eligibility:

-Undergraduate student (incoming or continuing) majoring in broadcast communication 

-Full-time students must carry a minimum of 12 hours per semester

-Part-time students must carry a minimum of 9 hours per semester

-Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 required

Citadel Memphis Radio Group

Eligibility:

-Full-time undergraduate

-Pursuing a degree in communication

-Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Kathy Krieger Award

 Eligibility:

-Student majoring in communication with concentration in broadcasting

-The recipient will be involved in WUMR (FM92), the campus radio station

John DeCleux Memorial Scholarship

Eligibility:

-Full-time undergraduate student

- Pursuing a degree in the field of Broadcast Journalism

Elvis Presley Endowed Scholarship Fund

Eligibility:

-Student in College of Communication and Fine Arts at the University of Memphis
