A free-range rhetorician, Rosa A. Eberly is Associate Professor of Rhetoric in the Department of Communication Arts and Sciences and the Department of English at the Pennsylvania State University. 
She is author of Citizen Critics: Literary Public Spheres and The Elements of Reasoning (second edition) and co-editor of A Laboratory for Public Scholarship and Democracy and The Sage Handbook of Rhetorical Studies. Before joining the faculty at Penn State, she was director of the Undergraduate Writing Center and associate professor of Rhetoric in the Department of Rhetoric and Writing and the Department of English at The University of Texas at Austin.
