William Keith is professor of Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
He has published numerous articles on argumentation, the rhetoric of science, public
deliberation and the history of speech pedagogy. He is the author of Democracy as Discussion, which received the National Communication Association's (NCA) Diamond Anniversary
Award and the Rohrer Award from the American Forensic Association (AFA). He is the
co-editor of Rhetorical Hermeneutics. Keith serves as a reviewer for a number of rhetoric and communication journals, and
serves on the board of Revista Eletrônica de Estudos Integrados em Discurso e Argumentação
and Participations. Revue de sciences sociales sur la démocratie et la citoyenneté and
Social Epistemology.
