program, the staff, and application procedures. Please feel free to contact the training
director, Jane B. Clement, Ph.D., if you have questions about our internship program
that must be answered before you can make a formal application.
The ecological mentor-practitioner model adapted by the Center is applied to training
so that interns operate in the micro-system of the training model with constant interaction,
supervision, mentoring, and modeling from professional staff. While clients' presenting
issues may range from developmental concerns to severe psychological problems, the
majority of therapy is brief. However, long-term therapy and medical consultation
and referral are on-going components of the program. Email Jane Clement, Ph.D., Assistant Director, Internship Training, at jclement@memphis.edu.
