We believe that a commitment to personal wellness increases resilience to stress and
promotes healthier and happier lives. To this end, we aim to foster total wellness
to help you navigate the many different challenges and personal growth opportunities
you may encounter during your college years.
Our new Relaxation Zone is available to students Monday-Friday. It is a place for
students to slow down and unwind. We offer reclining massage chairs, a biofeedback
computer station, and individual and small group instruction (“Wellness Breaks”) on
a variety of self-care skills like Mindfulness, and Deep Breathing. We are excited
about our Relaxation Zone and continue to invest in making it an oasis for U of M
How do I get started?
- The Relaxation Zone is open 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday-Friday.
- Participating in counseling is NOT required to indulge in the relaxation resources
available in the Zone.
- Please call or stop by the Counseling Center to sign up for an orientation session
as well as future “Wellness Breaks”.
