Fall 2009
Group Offerings
Interpersonal Process Group Mondays from 3:30 to 5:00 pm
This Group offers a safe environment to identify and explore one's feelings and to give and receive support and feedback. Students can explore their own identity and find newer ways to connect & relate with others. They can also learn to understand what may be getting in their way of achieving these goals. Students can use the interpersonal interaction of the group itself to learn about themselves, and identify and expand their own interpersonal patterns, try new behaviors and clarify confusing feelings within a supportive atmosphere.
GLBTQ Group Fridays from 1:00 to 2:30 pm
This group will provide weekly opportunities for safe discussions that impact Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning students at the University of Memphis. We invite anyone who self-identifies as LGBTQ to join the discussion any week. Topics may include family concerns, dating, coming out, and spirituality, as well as any others the group chooses. These topics will be facilitated in a safe and supportive manner through group process and sharing of experiences.
Health Support Group Tuesdays from 5:00 to 6:30 pm
This group is in the process of being formed and any student with chronic or acute health concerns or any student responsible for the care of someone with chronic or acute health concerns is invited to inquire about attending. For further information, call 678-2068.
