Membership Questions:
If I am not a Faculty/ Staff or Student at the University of Memphis, may I have a membership at the SRFC facilities? Yes, you may become a "Community Member" of the facility for a fee: (Full Facility Access): Individual Membership - $720 per year/$360 for 6 months, Family Membership - $1200 per year / $600 for 6 months(1 guest is allowed per member at $5.00 per visit).
Adult Community Pool Only (Available only during the summer. This membership runs from June through August), Individual Membership - $270.00, Family Membership - $540.00
Documents required to process Family Memberships: Spouse: Marriage License or Certificate Dependent Children: Birth Certificate or Insurance card (with dependant child’s name). All of these fees are to be paid in full at time of enrollment. Payment must be made at the SRFC.
How do I obtain a Membership Application to the Student Recreation and Fitness Center? Come to the Rec. Center located at 620 Echles, Monday through Friday 8am – 5pm,and inquire at the entry counter.
I'm a UM Alumni, can I use the recreation center? Yes, you can pay a minimum donation to the Alumni Association 678-ALUM then pay $5.00 per visit or you can buy a Alumni or Community membership.
Can the community use the tennis courts without a membership? Yes, the tennis courts are the only exception for non member community. Charge is $10.00 per person per session. Now that I have my Membership where may I park? General Parking permits may be purchased at the Parking Office for $10.93 per Month. Metered parking spots for the rate of $2.00 per hour. An Invited Visitor Pass may be purchased through the Parking Office for $1.00 ( this is a one day pass which will allow you to park in any of the general parking lots). Free parking is available on Echles Street and Spottswood Road (limited spaces). The Parking Office is located on Zach Curlin Street in the front of the parking garage. Bikes can be parked at the racks provided. Bikes cannot be place in facilities or on stair hand rails. ID Questions:
Why doesn't my student, faculty/ staff ID work when scanned at the Recreation Center? You're no longer a student, faculty or staff. You're membership expired and you need to renew it. Your a faculty or staff with no membership. Faculty/ staff can use the facility without membership if by paying $5.00 per visit with valid ID. Identify your status at the entry. Students/Faculty/Staff ID's must be activated by Bursar and all Activity Fees must be paid in full. Are you a part-time (less than 6 hrs) student? P/T students pay $3.00 per visit at the recreation center. Identify yourself as part-time at the entry. Online courses do not pay Activity Fees but you can pay the fee to activate you card at the Bursar Office. You are an international student in the IEI program? IEI students have to pay Activity Fees to access recreation center at the Bursar Office. You are also employed and a student at the University? You may have dual status. Faculty staff has priority over student causing the ID not scan correctly. Identify yourself as dual status at the entry. Do I need my ID to go to class in the Recreation Center? Yes, if you forget your ID you must sign in and be escorted to your instructor. The next time your forget your ID, it will cost you $5.00. How many guests can I bring for $5.00? You can only bring 1 guest per valid UM ID. I lost my ID Items found are kept for 24 hours then logged in and sent to Bursar Office or Judicial Affairs depending on the situation.
