Canstruction is a competition jointly hosted with the American Institute of Architects that involves teams constructing a design from canned foods, which are donated to the local food bank at the conclusion of the competition. Participating teams are sponsored by local engineering firms with practicing civil engineers and ASCE student chapter members serving as mentors to assist student teams in design participation.
