UTeach MEmphis is a new teacher credentialing program that allows STEM majors to complete their secondary teaching licensure requirements while they complete requirements for their Bachelor of Science Degree. This high-quality, undergraduate teacher education program will increase the number and diversity of competent math and science students entering the teaching field and assuming positions of educational leadership in their fields.  It is funded through an agreement with the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, using money provided by the “Race to the Top” funds that are being provided by the federal government.
