The goal of Girls Incorporated of Memphis is to provide area girls ages 6-18 with a fun, safe, and educational environment. Girls Inc and the programs they provide are "designed to build girls' capacity for college preparedness, confident and responsible adulthood, economic independence, and personal fulfillment."  It is Girls Inc.'s goal to offer programming that is research based and age-appropriate.

In early 2010 Girls Inc. commissioned the Center for Research on Women to conduct an on going evaluation of their programming for girls ages 9-18. This evaluation includes an examination of general outcomes and outcomes specific to several of the curriculums used by Girls Inc. CROW has released two evaluation reports, and is currently in the process of evaluating the program for the third year.
