Thank you for your interest in our Master of Arts (M.A.) program in Speech-Language
Pathology. The M.A. degree requires a two-year commitment (including the interim summer)
and a minimum of 50 semester hours of credit. In addition, students must meet all
academic and clinical requirements specified by the American Speech-Language Hearing
Association for the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology.
Therefore, it is possible that additional coursework (beyond our 50 hours) may be
required depending on your academic and/or clinical background. We strongly encourage
students who have degrees in other areas to apply to the program. No prerequisite
courses are required before admission and your program will be extended by a semester
(the second summer).
