This unique diversity is an opportunity for students to add breadth to their learning. Individuals who have degrees in other backgrounds of study are encouraged to join the program, and can complete their degree with only one additional semester.

Leadership Opportunities

Our students are perennial participants in the annual Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders, sponsored by our chapter of the National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association (NSSLHA). This is the oldest and largest student-sponsored conference in the country. The two-day event draws hundreds of audiologists and speech-language pathologists from across the U.S. and Canada, featuring guest speakers, workshops and short courses.
