SLP – Speech-language pathologist

NSSLHA – National Student Speech-Language-Hearing Association

AAA – American Academy of Audiology

TAASLP – Tennessee Association of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology

CCC - Certificate of Clinical Competency awarded by ASHA. Often referred to as having one’s C’s.

GA – Graduate Assistant

AHST – Allied Health Student Tracking system – the method for students to log clinic hours and competencies

PLP – Preschool Language Program. This is one of the clinic placements at MSHC East.

ELG – Early Language Group. This is one of the clinic placements at MSHC.

SLG – Speech Language Group. This is one of the clinic placements at MSHC.

Mid-South – Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders – a conference held in the spring and run by the School’s student body
