General Timeline



Anticipate correspondence from our School’s NSSLHA President.
Correspond with the Academic Advisor identified in your acceptance letter if you have general program questions regarding your background, review of non-CSD coursework, etc.  Otherwise your advisor will be contacting you later in the summer for Fall course selection.
Activate University of Memphis email address.

 Early June

Anticipate correspondence from your “program partner,” a current student assigned by the NSSLHA President to help with your orientation to Memphis and the School.
Send immunization records (MMR and Varicella (Chicken Pox) to The University of Memphis.
TB Test documentation must be submitted to CSD in August.

Late June/Early July

Correspond with your academic advisor regarding specific course selections in order to complete your registration.
Schedule background check and CPR certification class

July 15

Preferred School deadline for completing advising and course selection—for registration, see Bursar’s office information on final University deadlines)

August 1

Submit Clinic Experience Form to:

Director of Clinical Services, Speech-Language Pathology Marilyn Wark

August 1

Graduate School Orientation – University Center on U of M Campus 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (lunch is provided)

August 20-22

Orientation beginning @ 9:30 a.m. August 20, 2014 at 807 Jefferson Avenue, 38105

August 22

Deadline for Fall 2014 fee payment without penalty.

August 25

First day of classes and clinic
