Films On Demand are high-quality streaming videos that can be accessed by faculty and students through
online card catalogs, learning management systems, and distance learning courses.
Special features built into the Films Demand platform allow users the ability to organize
and bookmark clips, share playlists, store quick links to favorite videos, and manage
their entire collection through an administrative reporting system.
If you do not need to use any of the special features described below, you can access the resources through the online card catalog.
Playlists represent either standard or customized video programs that can be accessed
by your students via a playlist code or playlist links. With a playlist, you can provide
your students with a single page containing the programs needed for your lessons,
assignments, etc. Standard playlists consist of a single video title and all its
segments. Standard playlists can be created using the "Create Playlist" buttons found
when browsing your collection. Playlists can be created for each and every title in
your collection using the "Manage Playlists" option within the administrative tools.
Custom playlists can consist of any number of videos, standard segments, and custom
learning objects. These are created by registered users of the collection. Anyone wishing to use this or other features should contact Shelia Owens (firstname.lastname@example.org or 901-678-2236) to become a registered user and obtain a password.
