Residency Requirement and Fee Information

The Residency Requirement:

Students will be required to attend a 3-day seminar on our campus in Memphis, Tennessee prior to the semester start. On-ground residency courses (either MGMT 7135: Leadership and Teambuilding, or MKTG 7555: Creativity and Innovation) to begin the semester run concurrently August 24th - 26th.  This seminar will fulfill degree requirements and provides students with the opportunity to network with each other and establish collegial relationships with faculty, advisors, and The University of Memphis. Contact the program coordinator Greg Boller at
gboller@memphis.edu for detailed information about the residency requirement.

Online Program Fees:

This program will be assessed a $100/credit UM Online Program fee in lieu of the Program Service Fee.  Also, UM Online course fees do not “cap out” at 12 hours.  Students pay for the total number of hours in which they are enrolled, even when that exceeds 12 hours.  Be sure to consult with your financial aid counselor or scholarship administrator for payment guidelines.

Review our current fee schedule for UM Online program fees.

Fees are subject to change without notice. The University will usually collect the amount of fees due at the time of fee satisfaction in accordance with the residency classification and fee rates in effect.

Online Out-of-State Scholarship

UofM online degree programs award tuition waiver scholarships for students with an out-of-state classification.

Out-of-state and international students are eligible for our online student out-of-state fee scholarship if they are enrolled in a UM Online program.  Interested students must complete our Out-Of-State Scholarship Request form.  If eligible, the out-of-state fee scholarship will result in total fees equal to those paid by in-state students.

Financial aid and military assistance can also be applied to any online program. RODP and UofM online programs follow all University of Memphis guidelines for fee payment.
