The Department of Communication at the University of Memphis helps its undergraduate majors to understand more fully what communication is and how it can be applied effectively in a variety of contexts and settings. The program provides needed background and skills that help to make students successful in their chosen professional careers, as well as prepare them for advanced graduate study.

The BA degree, with a concentration in Communication, requires 120 hours. You may complete this degree entirely online, by combining online courses with courses offered at the University of Memphis campus; or by combining University of Memphis courses (online and on campus) with a limited number of approved courses transferred from other institutions (see our undergraduate catalog for more information).
