  • Greg Mankiw is an economist at Harvard University and was an economic advisor to President Bush, as well as the author of numerous popular economics textbooks.  Here’s his blog.

  • In addition to winning the 2009 Nobel Memorial Prize in Economics, Paul Krugman writes about all matters economics on his blog, which is sponsored by the New York Times.

  • Nouriel Roubini is an economist at New York University and can claim to be one of the few people who correctly predicted the mortgage meltdown and financial crisis of 2007.  (Not that anyone listened.)  Here is his blog.

  • Gary Becker is one of the most brilliant economists of the 20th century and pioneered the application of economics to such areas as crime and racial discrimination.  His blog co-author, Richard Posner, is a lawyer and faculty member at the University of Chicago (along with Becker) and is the father of the field of law and economics.  They maintain their blog here.

  • The Ludwig von Mises Institute is devoted to the writings of the famous Austrian economist of the same name and is focused on free market principles and the study of capitalism.
