The mission of the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University
of Memphis is to:

Provide educational opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students so that
they have the knowledge to enter professional practice and meet or exceed the expectations
of employers and to have the fundamental skills required to continually enhance their
knowledge, and provide leadership in industry, government, or academia.

Create, advance, and disseminate knowledge in the fields of electrical and computer
engineering to contribute to the general welfare of the Mid-South region, the State
of Tennessee, and the Nation.

Dr. Chrysanthe Preza, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, received a $743,781 National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development Award for her research. The Career Award is the most prestigious award junior faculty members can receive from the NSF. |
