University personnel who utilize biological agents are expected to implement prudent
practices, precautions, and handling techniques for biological agents as a means of
promoting a safe and healthful environment for the University community. Please take
time to familiarize yourself with the Biological Safety Program.
We hope that the resources shown on this web page will assist you in working safety
with biological agents. If you have questions or need training, please feel free to
contact Katherine Shorter at 2740 or Al Simpson at 4672.
Exposure Control Plan Reminder
If personnel in your department are potentially exposed to blood or other potentially
infectious materials, federal regulations, state law, and University policy require
implementation of an exposure control plan. Click here for a copy of the model exposure control plan.
