The Environmental Health and Safety Office maintains the master file of all Safety Data Sheets (SDSs) for hazardous chemicals acquired, stored, used, and created by University personnel. When a SDS is received by EH&S, it is made available for electronic viewing by any person with a U of M IP Address. Each affected department must ensure that original SDSs are forwarded to EH&S and that legible copies of the SDSs are readily available to employees within the affected department.
