    UMpact is a U of M registered student organization (RSO) that focuses on involvement in all facets of sustainability on campus, including stormwater. Contact UMpact with your area of interest and see what role you can take in shaping our future in sustainability.

  • Memphis River Warriors
    Memphis River Warriors is a community organization that brings in volunteers for local river cleanups each semester. It was founded and is currently led by Colton Cockrum, Director of QEP, Academic Coaching and Support Services at the U of M.

  • Clean Memphis
    Clean Memphis is a non-profit organization founded in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens. Their goal is to make Memphis the cleanest city in the nation thereby reducing the crime rate and increasing a pride of place in our communities. They offer many beautification opportunities that anyone can participate in.

  • Memphis City Beautiful
    Memphis City Beautiful engages individuals to take greater responsibility for their communities, striving to change behavior and improve communities by focusing on litter prevention and beautification programs.

    The U of M Office of Sustainability is a great resource for connecting students to all campus and community sustainability opportunities. The Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program is one of the many programs that currently reside in the Office of Sustainability.

  • University of Memphis MS4 Committee
    All U of M stormwater activities and concerns are addressed in a MS4 Committee that is comprised of UofM staff from areas in the Physical Plant, Campus Planning and Design, Food Service, and Residence Life. This committee meets once a month and is chaired by the Sustainability Manager, Amelia Mayahi.
