The Alumni Association is seeking nominations for its 2006 Distinguished Alumni Awards. These awards honor alumni and friends who have brought honor and distinction to the U of M. Award winners are recognized at a black-tie gala held in their honor in the spring.
The categories are Distinguished Alumni, Distinguished Friend and Outstanding Young Alumni. A nomination form and a complete list of past recipients are available online at http://www.memphis.edu/alumni/daa.html. The deadline for nominations is Jan. 15, 2006.

Science fiction fans can travel in time without leaving their seats. The FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis is hosting "Collisions with the Continuum," a Friday film series with a time-travel theme. All films will begin at 7 p.m. in the Zone.

The Alumni Association's last barn bash of the year will be held on Saturday, Nov. 26, at 11 a.m. Kickoff for the Tigers vs. Marshall is at 1 p.m. Come by to see (and taste) the DeAngelo race car cake. We will also have a special DeAngelo cookie, courtesy of Barbara Mayo, to celebrate his last Memphis football game. $5 gets you in for BBQ, beverages and live music.

The School of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology Alumni Chapter needs your nomination for the 2006 Outstanding Alumnus Award. Each year the Chapter presents this award to a deserving AUSP graduate at the Mid-South Conference on Communicative Disorders.
