The Alumni Association is celebrating the 50th reunion for the Class of 1958 on Friday, October 24. Future college students will find answers to their questions about college life when the University of Memphis holds Campus Day on Saturday, November 8, from 11 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. The event is free, but registration is necessary. Registration is available online at http://recruitment.memphis.edu. The deadline for reservations is October 31, 2008.
The event, which is also open to students’ family members, will begin with a picnic lunch and entertainment by the University’s pop music group, Sound Fuzion. U of M President Shirley Raines will welcome the visitors to the campus. Throughout the day, University representatives will be on hand to provide visitors with information about admissions, residence life, scholarships and financial aid, student organizations, academic programs, and student services. Guests also will have a chance to visit academic departments of their choice, talk with faculty, and tour the campus.

Mighty Sound of the South Commemorative Throw Pillow
The Mighty Sound of the South uniform jacket used from 1996-2007 has been retired and is now being made into a one-of-a-kind commemorative throw pillow. Each pillow will represent the front and back of the uniform jacket. The cost is $45.00/pillow for current members of the Alumni Association, and $50.00/pillow for non-members.
