September 2002
Ninety
years ago, our University opened its doors as West Tennessee
State Normal School, an institution charged with training
the region's future teachers. Today, The University of Memphis
encompasses a wide range of vibrant colleges and schools,
educating the world's future business leaders, artists, nurses,
engineers, professors, lawyers, and teachers.
As
we celebrate our University's 90th anniversary this year,
we'll take a look back at A Lifetime of Learning, capturing
defining moments in our history and honoring those unique
individuals who have given us the benefit of their time, talent,
and toil. We hope you'll join us in this celebration.
