Every graduate student must be advised by a member of the Graduate Faculty before his/her advising hold will be cleared. Each student must complete an English Advising Worksheet with their advisor, acquire signatures, obtain restricted course permits from the departmental registrar, obtain course overload permission from Dr. Linda Bennett in Scates Hall, and submit the worksheet to the English Graduate Office in Patterson Hall 425 for filing.

The English Graduate Office will not clear an advising hold without a signed (both student and faculty advisor) worksheet.

The form is available online, from your advisor, or outside the English Graduate Office (PT 425).
