AIMS AND ORGANIZATION: This course will explore the tensions and links between women’s public and private voices and how women writers embody the Muse.

 

 

ASSIGNMENTS AND WRITTEN WORK: Students will write two papers and a final exam and keep journals in which they respond to the readings, lectures, and class discussions.
