Can we take a museum relic off your hands?

The University of Memphis is sponsoring a major electronic equipment recycling effort that will allow the public; U of M faculty, staff, and students; and local institutions, such as small businesses and hospitals, to turn in old electronic equipment for recycling.  The event provides an opportunity to dispose of unwanted computer equipment in a convenient and environmentally friendly manner. There is no cost for the service and no limit to the number of items that can be dropped off. Professional movers will be onsite to handle unloading the equipment.  All dropped off equipment, including computer hard drives, will be ground to confetti.  Recycling services courtesy of Apple Computer, Inc.

May 17:  public recycling day

Members of the general public are invited to bring electronic items for recycling on Saturday, May 17th.

Location:  main parking lot on Southern Avenue
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

May 14-16: recycling of University equipment and equipment from local institutions and businesses

A separate event is being held May 14th - 16th for recycling old University of Memphis equipment as well as equipment from institutions such as colleges, K-12 Schools, government agencies, non-profit groups, and local businesses.  University faculty and staff are required to complete an Equipment Transaction Record form and schedule a pickup of the equipment to be recycled.  Local institutions and businesses must sign up for a drop-off date on which they will bring the equipment to be recycled.
