Engaged Scholarship Conference Travel Fund

The Engaged Scholarship Conference Travel Fund (ESCTF) supports faculty and student travel to engaged scholarship conferences in order to promote the visibility and scholarly outcomes of University-Community engagement. The Travel Fund is intended to support participation in conferences with an interdisciplinary setting that highlight engaged scholarship work.

Engaged Scholarship Conference Travel Awards for Spring/Summer 2015

Faculty:
Angela Gilmore, Criminal Justice -  $1,000 travel award to support your presentation of “The Role of Community in Crime Prevention: Community Revitalization in the Frayser Neighborhood of North Memphis” at the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences Conference in Orlando in March, 2015.

Student:
Katrina Barth, Graduate Student, Department of Counseling, Educational Psychology and Research - $1,000 travel award to support your presentation of “An Intergenerational Community-Based Arts and Literacy Program in a Shelter for Families Who are Homeless” at the American Educational Research Association Conference in Chicago in April, 2015.
