Electronics Engineering Technology (EETH) is designed to educate people for careers in analog and digital communications,
manufacturing automation, computer electronics and a host of other areas within the
electronics industry. The curriculum is a combination of electronic circuit design
and analysis, computer applications and programming, and industrial control methods,
coupled with management techniques and strategies that will enable the graduate to
design, implement, and manage modern electronic systems. Areas of study include Antenna
Design, Motor Control, Programmable Logic Controllers, Application of Amplifiers,
Filters and Oscillators, and Applications of Solid State Devices.
The Electronics Engineering Technologist is conversant with current laboratory procedures,
fabrication techniques, and industrial operations and can, therefore, be rapidly integrated
into a high-salaried and respected position in industry.
Graduates of the Electronics Engineering Technology program fill positions in various
industrial areas, such as product and systems evaluations, project management, cost
estimating, industrial controls, technical sales, customer service, and integration,
monitoring, and support of electronic systems. Representative companies that have
employed Electronics Engineering Technology graduates include Hewlett-Packard, IBM,
Rockwell Automation, Scientific Atlanta, FedEx, Lucent Technologies, Hughes Communication
Systems, Texas Instruments, Alcatel Wire & Cable, GE Medical Systems, and AT&T Wireless.
The Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering Technology program is accredited
by Technology Accreditation Commission of ABET, Inc.
