Executive Education Philosophy and Development Approach
The teaching and development techniques employed by the Executive Education and Development
Faculty vary depending on the audience with which they work. Specifically, our philosophy
regarding executive audiences recognizes that while a conceptual grounding in managerial
and leadership principles is critical, that executives require that this foundation
be delivered in both a relevant and applied manner in order to deliver real value
to the executive and his/her organization. In addition, this foundation is delivered
in an engaging and interactive manner in order to continually stimulate the thinking
and learning processes of the executive.
Experience and Expertise in Working with Managerial- and Executive-Level Participants
The Executive Education and Development Faculty are selected based on their experience
and demonstrated success in working with executive-level audiences. Most faculty
have years of experience in teaching in Executive MBA programs, as well as customized
executive programs for external clients.
Areas of Expertise
All Executive Education and Development Faculty are recognized scholars within their
respected fields, as evidenced by active research programs, published research papers
and textbooks, and presentations made to both academic and industry audiences. The
Executive Education and Development Program adopts a “best of breed” approach whereby
qualified faculty (again, qualification determined by demonstrated success) represent
the following functional areas:
- Management and Organizational Behavior
- Marketing and Sales
- Information Technology
- Supply Chain Management and Logistics
- Corporate Financial Management
- Accounting and Economics
- Ethics, Negotiation, and Interpersonal Communication
- Innovation and Creativity
- Managing and Implementing Change
- Industrial and Organizational Psychology
- General Leadership
