About the Expert:
Robert Kozma is internationally recognized in the field of autonomous adaptive brain systems, nmathematical and computational modeling of spatio-temporal dynamics of cognitive processes, neuro-fuzzy systems and computational intelligence. He conducts pioneering work towards the development and implementation of a revolutionary new dynamical memory device, based on chaotic pinciples. His approach is strongly biologically motivated and based on the observation that sensory information in brains is encoded in the form of aperiodic/chaotic oscillations of neural populations, which undergo repeated and robust phase transitions. The results are applicable for describing action selection and decision-making in animals, animats, robots.
