At its meeting on March 23, the University of Memphis Faculty Senate
approved the following motion by vote of 25 in favor, 5 opposed, and 6 abstentions:
“The Faculty Senate urges President Raines to end immediately the longstanding practice of subsidizing the expenditures of the Athletics Department with the university’s Education and General Funds (E&G).”
