Dear Colleagues:
During the past several years, the Faculty Senate has been working with
the Information Technology Division to develop an online system that would
allow you to access current information about when students drop, add, or
withdraw from your courses. This past fall term, a new channel was added to
the myMemphis portal to achieve this goal. This Course Drop/Add Activity channel should be visible to you from
the Faculty tab when you log into the myMemphis site.
A step-by-step guide
for using the Drop/Add channel is now available. If you have questions about
how to access the channel not addressed by the guide, please submit a helpdesk
request or call 678-8888 for assistance.
The development of this Drop/Add channel would not have been possible
without the collaboration of numerous members of both the Information
Technology Division and the senate’s Information Technology Committee. In particular, thanks goes to Thomas
Banning, Karen Bell, Shermia Cherry, Sherri Dean, Joseph Matesich, Thomas
Nenon, Ellen Watson, and Brooke Wilson for their help in getting the
channel operational.
Suggestions for possible additions or improvements to the Drop/Add
channel should be sent to Thomas Banning,
chair of the senate’s Information Technology Committee.
Sincerely,
Jeffrey S. Berman
President, Faculty Senate
