Award Winning Accounting Textbook

A professor in the School of Accountancy in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics is the lead author of a textbook that has twice received the Outstanding Revision of the Year award (the Crystal Award) from its publisher, McGraw-Hill, the number-one business publisher in the world. No other textbook has ever received the award twice. The textbook, Intermediate Accounting, is in its sixth edition, published in 2010.

Dr. J. David Spiceland (http://umpeople.memphis.edu/dspice) also is lead author of another textbook, Financial Accounting, whose second edition also published in 2010. This is a cutting-edge, introductory accounting textbook received the First Edition of the Year award.
