Cross-Cultural Management Issues and Stress
Researchers in the Fogelman College of Business & Economics are investigating the
different ways in which organizations across fourteen countries handle job related
stress.
The research team is examining the impact and role that stress has on job satisfaction,
organizational commitment and intention to leave. The team is also examining the
role of different coping mechanisms such as problem focused coping and emotion focused
coping in dealing with job related stress.
The research team comprises Dr. Rabi S. Bhagat (Department of Management), Dr. Balaji
C. Krishnan (krishnan@memphis.edu, Department of Marketing), Pam Steverson (Doctoral Student, Department of Management)
and Tejinder Billing (Doctoral student, Department of Management).
