Assistant Professor of Accountancy
The School of Accountancy is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor, effective fall semester 2010. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing and maintaining a stream of quality research, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities of the School. This is an academic-year appointment and offers competitive compensation, research support, and an attractive benefits program, depending on qualifications. The School faculty includes 16 full-time faculty members and offers the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in accounting and supports the BBA and MBA programs of the Fogelman College.
Candidates must have a doctorate in accounting (advanced ABDs will be considered if degree completion is imminent). All areas of specialization will be considered. A record of effective college teaching and scholarly publications is desired, although those with strong potential in these areas will be considered.

Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics
The Department of Economics is seeking a visiting assistant professor, effective fall semester 2010, for a one-year appointment. In addition to teaching undergraduate courses, the visitor may expect to instruct first-year graduate courses in mathematical statistics and econometrics. Since the visitor may be teaching graduate courses, he or she is expected to have an active research agenda in the field of specialization. The Department seeks candidates with a Ph.D. degree in economics (advanced ABDs may be considered if degree completion is imminent), competence in mathematical statistics and econometrics, and evidence of effective college teaching experience.
