ASSISTANT/ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF FINANCE
Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate

Description
The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate is seeking a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor, effective fall semester 2015, pending available funding.  Responsibilities include effectively teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing a stream of quality research, participating in activities of the Department, and fulfilling professional and university service responsibilities.  

Department
The Department of Management is an academically diverse, research-oriented group of 12 full-time faculty members with specializations in market microstructure, corporate finance, international finance, investments, real estate, and insurance/risk management.  The Department offers degree programs at all levels and is fully accredited by AACSB International.   

Qualifications
Candidates should have a Ph.D. with a concentration in finance or a closely related area (advanced ABDs will be considered if degree completion is imminent), a record of effective college teaching and commitment to teaching excellence, and evidence of development of a strong research program targeting leading journals in the field.  Papers in top-tier journals in finance and leading finance conferences will be considered favorably.  Candidates for Associate rank must have a strong record of professional experience and research accomplishment.  Applicants with expertise in market microstructure, international finance, investments, corporate finance, investments, and personal finance are desired for this position.

Compensation
This is an academic-year appointment and offers competitive compensation, summer research support, and an attractive benefits program, depending on qualifications.
