Description The School of Accountancy is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor, preferably
at the advanced level, effective fall semester 2012. Responsibilities include effectively
teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in accounting, developing a stream of
quality research, participating in activities of the School, and fulfilling professional
and university service responsibilities. Teaching experience in financial accounting
is preferred although all specializations will be considered. The School’s faculty
includes 16 full-time faculty members and offers the bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral
degrees in accounting and supports other academic programs of the Fogelman College.
Qualifications Candidates must have a doctorate in accounting (advanced ABDs will be considered if
degree completion is imminent), and experience with MBA and/or EMBA courses is a plus.
A record of effective college teaching and scholarly publications is desired, although
those with strong potential in these areas will be considered. We particularly welcome

archival research.

MARTHA AND ROBERT FOGELMAN FAMILY CHAIR OF EXCELLENCE IN REAL ESTATE SUSTAINABILITY Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate
Description The Martha and Robert Fogelman Family Chair of Excellence in Real Estate Sustainability
is a new endowed chair position to be filled for 2012-2013. The Chairholder is expected
to provide leadership for the undergraduate and graduate programs in real estate,
provide direction for the Center for Real Estate Research, and interact extensively
with professionals in the real estate field in Memphis, the Mid-South, and nationally.
The Chairholder should work effectively with graduate students in research related
to sustainability and seek external funding to support the activities of the Center.
A part of the Chairholder’s instructional responsibilities include teaching an undergraduate/
graduate course in real estate sustainability. Other courses to be taught may be
in the area of finance. Also, the Chairholder may be expected to lead planning activities
for an annual national conference on real estate sustainability.
Department The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Real Estate offer degree programs at all
levels, with specializations in real estate at the bachelor’s and master’s level.

DIRECTOR Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management
Description The Fogelman College of Business & Economics is conducting a search for the Director
of the Kemmons Wilson School of Hospitality and Resort Management (KWS), effective
July 1, 2012. The Director provides academic and administrative leadership for all
operations of KWS and is responsible for developing goals and implementing plans to
achieve objectives of the School to reach its full global potential.
Key responsibilities are: strategic leadership of KWS, recruiting and developing students
and faculty, expanding industry relationships, and exploring new venues for reaching
the educational needs of the hospitality industry. The Director reports to the Dean
of the Fogelman College and works closely with the facilities management team to deliver
the best in hospitality education. The Director represents KWS by working with hospitality
industry associations in the Memphis area, state associations in Tennessee, and national
associations to support the growth of the School in meeting industry needs.

School Dedicated in 2002, KWS offers a specialized professional program in the Fogelman College,

Kemmons Wilson, Sr., hospitality entrepreneur and founder of Holiday Inns. KWS maintains
