World-Class Basketball Meets a World-Class Business School: Coach Cal in a New Collaboration with the Fogelman College for Educating Students and Executives

Dean Rajiv Grover of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics and Coach John Calipari have agreed to plan a set of wide-ranging, collaborative educational initiatives.  Besides lecturing students, Coach Cal will engage in the Fogelman College executive programs on leadership, motivation, personal careers, and sports marketing among other topics.  “The programs will be built around Coach Cal’s skills, knowledge and passion,” said Dean Grover.  “The faculty will fill the details.  Some executive classes will be held right on the basketball court.”  The College will also look into developing a customized, undergraduate cohort program that will blend students with a variety of backgrounds and interests, including athletes and non-athletes, for a mutually supportive and beneficial college experience. “I’m looking forward to working with Dean Rajiv Grover on the graduate and undergraduate level,” said Coach Cal.
