For release: September 2, 2010 For press information, contact Curt Guenther, 901/678-2843
The Alumni Board of the Fogelman College of Business and Economics at the University
of Memphis has issued a challenge to all alumni of the College: For every dollar given to the Fogelman College between now and Dec. 31, 2010, by
a person who did not donate to the College last year, the Alumni Board will match
those donors’ gifts dollar for dollar, up to $25,000.
Alumni Board President Jennifer Brereton announced the Fogelman College Match Challenge,
saying, “Exciting things are happening in the Fogelman College, and by issuing this
challenge, to double a donor’s gift, the FCBE Board can help those gifts really make
an impact. The challenge gift will keep up the College’s momentum, and make supporting the College
fun, while improving the Fogelman experience for current students as well as students
in the future.”
Donors may designate their gifts to any areas of the College they choose, and they
may make their gifts in several ways – by personal delivery, mail, phone, credit card,
or automatic bank draft. Donations may be made in person at the Alumni Center, 635 Normal Street; office hours
are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Checks may be mailed to the University of Memphis Foundation, Department 238, The
U of M Foundation, Post Office Box 1000, Memphis, Tenn., 38148-0001.
To make arrangements for other methods of donation, or for more information about
the Match Challenge, donors may call 901-678-3953.
