Marla Stafford Named Outstanding Jewish Educator

Dr. Marla Stafford, Chair of the Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management, is one of three recipients of the Memphis Chapter of Hadassah's 2010 'Outstanding Jewish Educator's Award.' A key reason that was noted for why Stafford received the award was her belief that kindness drives the education process, and leads to business success. Consequently, she believes that it is critical to teach this to business students, and orients her educational activities accordingly. Clearly, it is an approach that is well received. Colleague Dr. Greg Boller, in a letter supporting her nomination, commented that Stafford is an "exemplary and gifted teacher - her students' lives are significantly enhanced having been taught by her."
