FCBE Majors Approved for Online Delivery

The Fogelman College of Business & Economics is very pleased to be able to announce that the following Bachelor of Business Administration majors have been approved by the Tennessee Board of Regents for 100% online delivery for the Fall 2011 semester:

• Accounting
• Management
• Management Information Systems
• Marketing Management
• Real Estate

This is a significant development in the array of degrees that the College can offer, and represents the culmination of hard work of many individuals across the College. Gearing up to offer these majors in an online format has helped uplift the pedagogical culture in the College through discussions about the latest technology-enhanced teaching and learning methods. It has also provided additional flexibility to FCBE students many of whom juggle family and work obligations in addition to their studies. This is expected to improve time-to-graduation rates in the College. In Fall 2011, the College is expected to exceed its original target of having 15% of total student-course registration online with students making their own individual decisions as to the balance of online versus face-to-face classes they take.  The College  also offers a similar flexibility to students enrolled in its 33-credit Professional MBA degree.
