McInish to Present at December NBER Meeting

A paper by Finance Professor Dr. Thomas McInish and Fogelman doctoral graduate James
Upson has been chosen as one of six papers for presentation at the National Bureau
of Economic Research (NBER) meeting in Boston in December.
The paper, “Strategic Liquidity Supply in a Market with Fast and Slow Traders,” will
be presented alongside work by Maureen O’Hara, a past president of the American Finance
Association; Lawrence Harris, a past chief economist of the Securities and Exchange
Commission; and faculty members from the University of Chicago, Massachusetts Institute
of Technology and Carnegie Mellon University, among others.
The National Bureau of Economic Research, the nation’s leading nonprofit economic
research organization, is a private, nonpartisanresearch group that aims to promote
a greater understanding of how the economy works.
